First Assembly of God is in the process of starting a building project. In late 2004 the church found and purchased land on the West side of Independence for our future home. 17 acres of land was purchased for a price of $27,000.00. In less than a year the church was able to pay off the loan and we are now the owners of the land. Our focus is now towards raising the funds necessary to start on our new church and the planning process. The beginning stages of planning should begin in early 2006 along with the continued fund raising projects. As of March of 2006 the church has raised about $12,000.00 towards the project. We have a ways to go, but with God's guidance and blessings we will eventually reach our goal |
